More Downtown Walking Tours
Join me, Bob Stanley and Rick Gromis, Executive Director of Main Street Vero, for Downtown Vero Beach Walking Tours!
After the buzz from the recent TCPalm.com story, spots for the remaining tours are disappearing faster than bubbles in champagne!
As a longtime Vero Beach resident and former host of the wine education TV program, Seller to Cellar, I’m excited to guide you through the heart of the Downtown Vero Walkable Core.
We’ll wrap up with a glass of vino courtesy of Varietals & More to toast Yes for Downtown Vero!

Look forward to seeing you there,

Vote YES
on Referendums 26 and 27 on the November 5 ballot
DJ | Dancing | Specialty Cocktails | Light Dinner | Beer
Reminder for Saturday's "55 Minus" party for City of Vero Beach residents and voters under 55 who want to realize a healthy, vibrant and prosperous Downtown Vero.
This is your last opportunity to RSVP.
Especially if you want to reserve childcare services, which must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. today. We will not be able to accommodate children who have not been pre-registered and may not be able to accommodate those who haven't RSVPd.
Admission is free for city residents under 55 -- compliments of The O'Haire Family, Vero Heritage Center, Orchid Island Brewery, Armani's Cucina, and La Marielita Rum. This is not about excluding the 55 plus crowd, it's about making it fun and easy for those of you who are too busy with work and/or parenting to attend City Council meetings. Let's face it -- the future is ours.
City Council unanimously voted to adopt the Ideas for Downtown Master Plan presented by DPZ CoDESIGN. Now it needs a YES vote on Referendums 26 and 27 on the November 5 ballot. Led by TP Kennedy and Vero Beach community leaders (see more at www.YESfordowntownvero.com) this is an exciting time for the future of Vero Beach.
Take a deeper dive into understanding the benefits of increased density downtown -- watch Dori Stone, former planning director for the city of Winter Park, FL, unpack these referendums here.
Doors open at 6:30 for cocktails and light dinner. DJ Sydney O'Haire begins at 8:00 p.m.
La Marielita Rum's Cantenaro Barbarito will be on hand mixing two specialty cocktails in honor of Vero Beach -- the Downtown Dream Daquiri and the Treasure Coast Old Fashioned.
Shout out to the following for making this evening possible:

Was great to meet you all last night and answer some of your questions about the referendums for downtown Vero Beach. As a reminder, they are the very last two referendums on the upcoming November 5 ballot (see image pasted below).
But the burning questions of the evening – where can I get Orchid Island’s Ruby Red IPA? Who was that DJ? And how do I make a rum old fashioned? Answers below.
The Beer: Be on the lookout for the most unique new entertainment complex (anchored by Orchid Island Brewery) -- Hogan Yards at the old Hogan citrus packing plant.
Tiffany & Tom Corr, Valerie & Alden Bing, and Heather and John Chianis are teaming up to bring barbecue, craft beer, pickle ball and live music to our community. In the meantime, you can grab OIB Indian River Grapefruit IPA at Ryder’s on Cardinal. Sign up here to receive updates on Hogan Yards.
The DJ: That was DJ Sydvicious, otherwise known as Syndney O’Haire. She’s also the beat behind Vero Beach’s next gen energy on growth and development issues, with a particular passion for advancing Three Corners.
The Treasure Coast Old Fashioned: That recipe is below. As is the Downtown Dream Daiquiri with La Marielita rum. While ABC Liquors is currently the only store in town stocking this fine rum, it’s worth the splurge for a cocktail that stands out from the ordinary.
Supporting these referendums means investing in the future of Vero Beach. Not only will these changes make our downtown more dynamic, but they will also help bolster our local economy by increasing foot traffic and attracting new businesses. Learn more at www.YESforDowntownVero.com
